Mabbly Pride Month 2023 - Organic

Caption: Rainbow capitalism quite literally puts profits before people, with corporations making money based on the appearance of inclusion and tolerance. With anti-LGBTQ+ legislation at an all-time high and very public walkbacks from prominent retailers on LGBTQ+ partnerships, merchandise, and displays, rainbow capitalism rings more performative than ever. Yes, representation matters—but if companies want to ethically participate in Pride Month, it will mean backing their displays with donations, inclusive policies, and ongoing support outside the month of June.

Caption: Just like our names, our pronouns are personal identifiers. Respecting someone’s pronouns, in turn, shows that you respect who they are and how they identify. Regardless of your gender identity, talking about your pronouns is important. By being cognizant of pronouns in our everyday language and life, we take an intentional step towards a more inclusive and respectful world.

Caption: More anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced in the first six months of 2023 than in the last five years combined. This year more than ever, Pride is not just a celebration—it’s a commemoration for all those who have fought for LGBTQ+ rights and a rallying cry for all those who continue that fight. Learn more about your state’s anti-LGBTQ+ bills (proposed or passed) through the link in our bio.
